Hi guys,

I have a new annoying noise. It's like having coins on a plate and driving over bumps. The bad part is that I cannot figure where it's comming from. My guess is somewhere between the dash and the windshield.

Sometimes under hard acceleration a vibration produces that noise again and it seems it's comming somewhere from the front.

In that area there are the air-vents for the windshield - maybe something loose there.

I opened the fuse-box and the otherside also and retighthened all the bolts (they were pretty tight before anyway). The problem is still there.

Any ideeas?

There is a tray under the false floor in the glovebox. Might there be some coins in there?

I know about that. That only contains the book.

I had this during this week - every time I nailed it in the lower gears, I heard the rattle.

Put the driver's seat right back... hurrah - £2.45 in change along the rail!

Now I think I've better not mentioned the coin like noise. It's something from the car, not an extra feature like a dropped coin .

My back seat rattles... bl**dy annoying, but to be fair - it's not a £30k Jag, so what do you expect?

Thanks, I would expect no loose noise that cannot be fixed.

However, I think I found the !@!#.

It is the plastic inner fender vibrating on the front wheel fender. I heard it last night while slamming the door. Afterwards I had to slam it an extra 30 times in order to pinpoint the location . I think it has to be retightened, but I could not do it last night since it started to rain.
