Hi fellow drivers! I am the happy new owner of a Skoda Octavia Mk3 FL, reg Mar 2018. I also had the Mk2 for the last 10 years.

 

I'm just getting to know the car better. So here comes the silly question: am I missing a cover under the driver's dash panel and under the wheel?

 

I took this photo, it looks very clean and I can see some connectors exposed (other than the OBD2) and I remember in my old Mk2 there was some kind of cover! In the upper left part there was also some kind of fake leather / vynil flexible curtain or trim.

 

 

 

 

I also attached a diagram from Mk2 which might contain the cover which I think is missing on my car. The picture is S70-0310 from https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/octavia-mk2/body/body_work/trim_noise_insulation/dash_panel/removing_and_installing_the_dash_panel/

 

 

Anyway if you have a second please have a look and tell me what you see under your dash? Thank you!

Hi rumberake. It does not look like there is any cover missing, as here is the underside of my dash.

I don't have the cover either on my MK3 - could be a LHD only cover. 

 

The MK2 had a brilliant RHD conversion - the bonnet release and handbrake were moved from left to right in particular. The Mk3 didn't do so well but you'll get used to these missing bits.
