Body kit/splitter recommendations

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Just wondering what peoples experiences have been with Maxton and Rieger (or any other brands) as I'm keen on the Maxton splitter and sideskirts and possibly the Rieger rear diffuser for a 2021 Octavia VRS combi?

Reviews for both companies on Google, Trust Pilot and Facebook etc., are frankly quite concerning especially when I have to ship the goods half way around the world making any returns/problems troublesome.

Any feedback would be appreciated as well as alternatives to these two companies, but particularly comments on longevity and fitment - pictures as always are appreciated! :)

I've had a Maxton splitter (bought from their ebay store as it was significantly cheaper than their own online store).

Their customer service prior to the purchase was great. They answered all questions in detail and even provided details on fitting. Delivery was well within their time frame (although that's down to the courier).

The splitter itself looks great/as described. I got it fitted at a local garage for peace of mind (but you can do it yourself). Not had any issues with it, and it's taken a few knocks but has remained damage free and still secure.

i have a Maxton splitter up front, it was delivered quickly, and fitted perfect had a query with the splitter and their customer service team got back to me straight away. I've since done around 1k miles with it on and no issues at all

I have heard stories of them being funny with returns or issues arising if not bought directly from them

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback - feeling a bit better about placing an order with Maxton now.

So fingers crossed I'm going for the V1 splitter and side skirts, I'll report back on my experience for others that may be interested.

Just to weigh in on this one, i know a few people who have had the Maxton kits and had no issues overall

I am also awaiting a new VRS hatch on order and have earmarked the V4 splitter for when the time comes 😉

Hi, I have just recently bought the maxton front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser.

The sides are all fitted. I am struggling with the front splitter as I can't seem to remove the tray enough from the front of the car to get in with the bolts?   ( all the screws have been removed and undertray)

Any ideas?
