Hello,

I received my new MK IV Octavia Vrs on the 15th January 2021. I have been to Scotland for 3 weeks and done 2300 miles. I have had no problems with the car, everything worked as it should. The only annoyance has been with the Laura ( help assistance) keep asking how she can help. I have had 2 previous Vrs a Mk 1 and a Mk 11 both totally reliable. 

 

I thought I would post this due to a lot of members feeling unsure of Skoda.   

Thankyou for sharing.  It is helpful to know this as despite the issues with my previous MK4, I’ve opted to keep the faith and gone for a VRS diesel.

Quick tip, go to Menu - Settings - Voice Control and you can turn off the hot word for Laura so she doesn't annoy you. 

Absolutey turn Laura off. 

Heading to Scotland myself next week loaded up with kit and canoes for a little trip. Looking forward to taking the vRS a little further from home 😁

@Jmagee Ohh so jealous of your trip. Been there last year for vacation. It was superb!  Unfortunately I had a hire car. Renault Capture.

You think you've got problems! My daughter-in-law's name is Laura and she will be in the car with us for the first time this coming weekend. So I think it will be the Menu - Settings - Voice Control option for me.

I did not take any pictures of the car. But found this one of dolphin bay in Inverness with part picture of the car.  The other is the isle of Skye.

Can I ask when did you order the vrs diesel and did they give you ant length of time for delivery.cheers

The order date was 7th Nov 2020 estimated delivery date 22 Dec 2020 actual date received was 15 Jan 2021.

Be very cautious at looking at 2020 orders and trying to use them as a guide to current order dates.  It might have been built and in transit for stock at date of ordering so just a few weeks.

 

Now there is negligible stock and waiting times of 35 weeks (8 months) are being reported.  An order today might not arrive until March 2022.    And of course might change spec or discontinue model in meantime.

Thx to you both,I thought 💭 phhorder was later than I thought.so up to now my order will take around 24weeks.thats if I get it on the date skoda uk tells me.
