VRS Lookalike exhaust

Featured Replies

I am slowly building a VRS lookalike from the 1.4 16v. I really like the look of the VRS but I didnt want a diesel. So far the car has been lowered, VRS wheels, roof spoiler and front bumper. Next bit is the rear bumper.  I will need to change the exhaust. Can anyone give me advise on an exhaust backbox to fit so the exhaust exit pipe comes out straight, rather than pointing down to the ground?

Many thanks!

Easiest thing to do is to cut off the end of the tailpipe where it bends downwards then you can fit whatever style of slip on tailpipe you like.

Great Idea! Thank you

That's a lovely looking 944 Cab in the background BTW !

Nice looking vRS rep. Bit cleaner than mine!

If I were you I'd look on FBM and gumtree for a sporty backbox for a Fabia/Polo/Ibiza going cheap and buy it. Thats how I got one for my Monte Carlo.

IIRC, the vrs badge on these goes in place of the 16v badge on your car.

Did you need to change the clips on the bumper for yours to fit? Or does the facelift clips fit a vRS bumper.

Thanks for the response. Were there any specifics on the back box to make sure it fits? Or is it any sporty one for a petrol  for a Fabia/Polo/Ibiza?

The front bumper doesn't quite fit as it should... it is not lined up properly. I need to take it off and refit

Any backbox from a polo or ibiza should fit really. You could be lucky and find an original vrs exhaust someone wants rid.

There are sporty ones about, the backbox I got is an Ulter backbox for these cars. Only worked out 15 euro for the backbox itself.

That bumper fitment doesnt look too bad. My cars a 2001 so the bumper wont clip into the original clips. Looks to be that the facelift ones work though, thanks.
