McLaren seized in Southport car meet, Superb police cars it seems !

2 real exhausts no less. Wonder if we will ever see one on Police Interceptors? Maybe complete with comedic body roll on the corners. A Scooby it is not.

Good news (aside from the Superb bit) if the McLaren was being driven 'antisocially'...   there's a guy with a Porsche who lives somewhere round us and drives like a complete tit...   flat out everywhere in a residential areas with kids (you can tell as he has the exhaust valves open and rev-matching on so you can hear him from a long way off).  I've seen him blat past our house at stupid speeds but managed to get his plate yesterday (private) and am wondering whether to report him via 101 so someone can 'have a word'...

Interesting that the DVLA has this down as ‘white’…………I wonder, Does that mean wraps don’t count when it comes to colour of vehicles?

Correct. They don’t classify wraps as a permanent colour change.

Which can lead to being stopped by Officers of the Law when their ANPR shows up a vehicle that looks like it does not match the Registration Plate.

But then that is how it has been for a long time in the UK.

If your wrap is on for more than just a few days for the likes of a show, or there is just part of the body colour changed it is dead simple to have the V5 changed for as long as the car is the colour it is.

Lots of police forces use superbs, some saloon, some estate.

they are far from standard spec too, although l&k is often used as the base model for the 4wd and 280 engine the interior is often a lot more basic and more like the SE models, often with cloth interior, basic radios and not much else, all in an effort to keep cost down.

that being said, they also do an armoured version with inch thick glass, armoured all round and you wouldn’t be able to tell it apart from a normal Skoda superb on the side of the road.
