Keyless lock and contactless boot issues

Featured Replies

I am a new owner of the RS , purchased last week. I'm getting very frustrated with the inconsistency of the contactless boot open method and also trying to lock the car by touching the handle. Can never guarantee that it will work. Anyone else experience this?

I must say had my VRS just over a week now and had the kessy system on the last vrs. This seems to work fine. But i had to re set the keys on the screen and make one of them the master. Still having no joy with the app lock and unlock. Waiting for my dealer to validate me apparently. The infotainment system does seem littered with bugs though. Good luck with your problem.

Never had an issue with the kessy. It works flawlessly.

It could be down to getting used to how it works.

The boot normally requires an 'in/out' kick and touch 'only' the door handle dimple to lock.

Never had an issue. Apparently my car doesn't do the lock/ unlock via app though.

It seems the Skoda Connect thing is not available in Australia so you can't do any of the app stuff. I've got enough to worry about with the car itself let alone the phone to operate too 🤪

Well its just over 2 weeks now with my VRS. Slowly getting used to the screen layout and usage. Individual keys still not registering to each person. But its going back to the dealer in a week for them to check the software. Lock / unlock appvfunction now working after a call to the dealer service dept. All it took was driving licence number ans a few clicks there end. Works very well now from the app. Love that i can set up the car to cool the interior just befire i finish work. Hopefully other glitches can be sorted via software.
