Towing mirrors

Featured Replies

Hello can anyone recommend towing mirrors for my Octavia 2.0 estate tdi 67 plate please. I’ve done some research but it appears there is a ridge which prevents mirrors from being attached and the gap between the mirror housing and the mirror is to narrow. Any assistance welcome thank you

This might help:

Thanks for this update which I will look into. Are there any other brands as I have read that there can be considerable vibration with the Milenco.

Hi D, thats my picture above, i looked into towing mirrors a couple of years back and decided on the Milenco ones as didn't like the ones held on by elastic bands etc.

Yes you do get a bit of vibration but its not bad.

Thank you for the update. Was the vehicle you used them on a mark 3 - mine is a 67 plate so would like to be sure before purchasing them.

I have the cheap ones with rubber straps, seem to hold on OK, although i haven't gone any serious distance 60-70 miles (68 Plate VRS estate). I do loop the closest strap around the rear corner of the mirror though.

Octavia mk3 Scout '66' plate.

I’ve got Milenco Aeros to use on my 2016 Scout. They stay on fine so long as you’re careful to fit the clamps correctly.

They do vibrate slightly but I’ve never found it to be a problem.

Another+for Milenco.

However , think it all depends on condition of your mirror housing how vibration free your image would be. Used to still use bungee straps on ours hooked under the bonnet. Hated poor visibility through towing mirrors.

I have suck it and see mirrors. Had milenco ones but kept damaging the mirror covers these go onto the actual mirror glass and you can adjust like you adjust you normal mirrors there a good but of kit
