Any idea why i can smell exhaust fumes in the car

Could it be a regen taking place if you've got a diesel vRS?

 

Other than that, a leaking exhaust?

Thanks for that  it is a tdi 2008  just stinks now and again inside  i wouldnt know when it regens?

Exhaust sounds ok i think  could it be egr valve?

I did a live reading on the egr  above my head tho    467.9 mg/str actual.

Revs would be about 1k instead of 800 and the fans will stay on after stopping.

Il check for that  cheers  noticed alarm doesnt work also   only owned 2 weeks 

Always been like it on mine, same engine.
