Exhaust change :D

Featured Replies

Getting my exhaust done today :D Removing the resonator underneath and replacing it with a stright wide-bore pipe, and changing the back box to allow free-flow :D Unfortunately can't remove my CAT, apparently my ECU won't accept that change and will go haywire on me.

Yay!

Should be good for an extra 2bhp. Nice one!

Thats Great  .. Try to record an Audio file to let us know how it sounds ;)

Gretna hearts game was just as exciting it went to penalities too,

I'm a liverpool fan so i'm happy just wish Gretna had won that woulda been amazing. It was amazing enough that a division 2 team made the final.

Well...

Resonator removed and replaced with a wide-pipe, backbox changed....

It sounds like a beast from hell! A lot of low-end, and when accelerating...man oh man what a rush...especially when you go under a tunnel! :D Performance mid-range has increased quite a bit as well, surprisingly. I thought it wouldn't do much, but it has...the needle now rushes to 100km/h in 2nd gear all the way, where as with the stock setup it would start tiring at about 85km/h..all others the same, in-gear acceleration has gone up quite a bit :D

Feels free now...feels just right :)

Bengie, I was only kidding when I put that post up. BTW, where the hell have you been???

Football is for hooligans in THAT part of the world :D Here it is the national sport and hooliganism isn't tolerated, so it pretty much doesn't exist here.

Hi Mil!

nice one!!! - I see you're in the UAE. I'm in Bahrain myself. being so far away from the UK makes it a bit difficult to get larger bits like exhaust systems.

Your solution - very creative I must say.

Tell me please, the back box - what did you change it to? I'm thinking of the same mods here in Bahrain.

The only additional is that i might be able to squeeze a 100-cel sport cat into my suitcase when I go back to the UK in summer...

Cheers

I don't know the actual brand, but I do know that they are made in Belgium, and the guy who did it for me is supposed to be reputable for doing Skodas. Upto now I think he's done one Octavia vRS and 4 Fabias, including mine and Fabia156's.

If you want you can drive down to Dubai and meet the guy...the company is called 'Gulf Exhausts'...pretty neat stuff, for a decent price too...

i have a video but no web-space from mine with the same mod.
