I expect they all have different part numbers, personally.  Difference may only be connector colour or cable length etc. though.

For RHD CAYC I'm seeing it as this one:

Many thanks Wino.

Annoyed at myself for not spotting it deeper down. spacer.png

which leads to my first suspect, the brown socket.

I’ve just ordered myself a replacement part. Will let you know how I get on.

Very frustrating to get to from the top, so you may aswell save yourself some time and jack it up and attack from the underneath, rather than the top.

I got myself the same sensor from a VW Caddy, took out the sensor from the socket and plugged in the replacement, the DPF inlet temperature was back to normal.

Have fun😁

Cool. My dad’s got some ramps, Jack’s and props so sure we’ll have fun. Well I’ll be the one underneath anyway hahah

I looked up the part number and it comes up with an orange plug? The plug should be the brown one?

The one I ordered has an orange plug but the sensor has the same right angle look to it. Probably because it’s not an official part but it fits lots of different cars.  Not sure when I’ll get chance to fit it but will let you know.

it SHOULD work, the biggest task will be removing the actual sensor from the manifold.

if you have limited space and aren’t comfortable removing unfamiliar parts, i would suggest cutting the wiring just past the metal sleeve, so you can get maybe and angled ratchet spanner on it.

or there are two inlets that run through the midsection at the

back of the engine wall (firewall), have a look into removing them if you have taken out the air box housing already & manoeuvring through that way. 😁

Do you have to take the under tray off or is it easy to get to with out taking it off?

I would advise taking the undertray off yes, more space for your right arm.

What an absolute nightmare trying to change this sensor 🤬🤬🤬. Couldn’t get the thing undone. Had to see a mate at garage and the only way to get the sensor off was take the whole catalytic converter off. Found also the flexi pipe was blowing from the weld so replaced that. To get the sensor out, had to cut it off, re weld a nut onto it so could screw sensor into it. Not sure why they had to put the bloody thing in that place as there’s plenty of other easier places to put it.

What do you mean you didn’t film the whole process and put it on YouTube to help us learn from your mistakes?!? 🤣😂🤣

I guess I’ll look forward to lots of swearing next week when I get round to fitting it.

I hope it goes a lot better than what I have experienced. I didn’t think to film it, should of done but didn’t think of it at the time as too busy swearing at the thing 😆

So changing the part today. The car has gone into limp home mode today and won’t clear so pretty sure it’s ****ed and will need a garage to clear it.

You will need to take it to garage or if you know anyone with a reader to clear the code or it stay in limp mode

My reader won’t clear it.

This sensor is being a really pain in the ass to undo.

It’s not easy to do, I had help and used a 17mm socket that we had to cut a slot into to get on the sensor, and one of us was holding the socket on the sensor while the other was on the ratchet. They say apply heat to the pipe around the sensor not directly into it.

Woohoo. Got it off with a long ratchet extension and a lot of force after cutting the pipe. Nearly went flying when it cracked the first time.

Then used a ratchet spanner to get the rest off.

The plug on the end was slightly different, had a plastic nub in a different place but cut that off and went in fine.

Hopefully I can clear the error and somehow force a regen otherwise looks like I’m gonna have to go the garage.
