There's a definite theme to most, if not all, of the problem orders...

  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

If this is true hopefully Tarqy's order will go error state like mine and force a human to look at it...

Yeah it’s true, and that’s exactly what needs to happen. I’d be worried they won’t build it though. Not because of the money but because of the spec changes since they just say they can’t produce a car close enough to order…given it was pre facelift…

The big problem with all this is Skoda and vw systems. You should be able to track your order. You should have a human being you can contact to discuss the order who isn’t a dealer - dealers don’t work for Skoda. They aren’t in any way able to do anything other than tell you the status they have on their system. So they need a proper system in place. With tracking numbers online checks and someone who will pick it up and sort it one way or another for you after a period of time.

Speaking to dealers in the group they all saying the same thing. They are taking the blame for a situation they cannot manage. Once they place an order they can’t so anything about it. They can’t chase it. They can’t ask for an update. They can’t do anything. They are limited to recycling cancelled order build slots. Even then they are unable to change things without risking losing the build slot entirely.

It’s a bad system. You might get away with it at Dacia prices. But let’s face it Skoda.

/Seat/VW and Audi prices are more than high enough to expect a basic tracking system and some human interaction.

I don't think it's necessarily leases, lots of them I'm seeing are linked to D. M. Keith ŠKODA Leeds and they are fleet orders so likely the lowest priority.

The dealer has advised that a provisional build date has been provided of week 24 - w/c 13/06/2022.

That’s good news. That’s close. It does sound like they are starting to seriously shift these things off.

Just hope it’s not the MY changeover week though for you…

In the world of customer service, there's the concept of getting the basics right first, before doing anything else. Order tracking is a basic thing  they need to sort out. My June 21 order has never received a single update, I've got no idea if it'll arrive this year or not.

I'm still waiting for my Black October 4th 2021 order. Was asked to remove 360, canton and side assist around 3 months ago which I agreed to. the only thing I've heard since is that my zero % finance is no longer available, although I will still take it. On a positive note, I have noticed on the local car site (equivalent of auto trader) there have been 7 or 8 VRSs come available in the last 10 or so days when there were simply none for around 6 months. Colours are primarily blue, red or matt grey and a black one was posted yesterday. There are many sportlines available in all colours so hopefully this indicates things are moving in a positive directly finally (or am I just clutching at straws :) ) The wait is real!

So have they completely rescinded on your 0% deal you signed up to? I was thinking it is probably the reason many ancient orders are not being built. What have they moved you to? It’s currently 5.9%

@AntDhow did your Monday update go?

Yes Paul, they said they were informed by VW Bank who do the financing that they cannot offer this any more regardless of ordering date. They are offering a 4.9 fixed rate with no additional financing fees which is reasonable with all that's going on in the world right now.

Yeah that’s not too bad. Hopefully yours arrives soon!

@Theo5

In the World of VW /Skoda / SEAT / AUDI UK Customer Services that was contracted out and certainly is not better for that.

It’s like backing an outsider at a horse race (no offence intended; quite the opposite) and willing them to win/get your car

Hi all, 1st post here and here's my story:

Ordered 2.0 TSI 190hp on Oct 16th 2021 with ton of extras (will list them below) and initially was not given a week until mid December. Issue? Canton speakers and ventilated seats. Removed them and order was accepted by factory immediately. Each checkup with dealer I was given different week and it went something like this: Week 12 - 42 - 14 - 32 - 18 - 22 and eventually it was locked on 22nd week and was built that week (16-22nd May). Car was delivered to dealer on June 1st, and I am still waiting on some paperwork and insurance before delivery, but I saw it and it looks awesome, on top of all extras...

Car is in Style level of trim and extras are:

Lava Blue (Petrol) color
EA9 Extended warranty
PE2 Side and leg airbags

7W2 Proactive protection

PWD Traffic sign recognition

3G2 Isofix

6SJ Trunk lining

PK0 Electronic towing bar

PXD Progressive steering

PH1 Panoramic roof

PXE Sleep package II

4L5 Rearview mirror with USB

6NC black molded headliner

PJD Steel spare wheel

PJ7 Triglav 19" wheels

PLK 3-spoke Sport heated steering wheel

Full leather ergoseats with memory, heated and ventilated

Style Comfort and Function package (virtual pedal, heated windscreen, rearview usb and 230 volt sockets, Columbus radio)

Style Business and View package (Park assist, front memory seats, heated side mirrors, rain sensor, light assist, 360 camera)

Style Safety and Drive package (Virtual cockpit, front assist, lane assist, side assist, ACC up to 210kmph)

PDD Alarm with Safe function

YOY Online infotainment (Free)

So in essence looking at it, what I did NOT get is 3rd row and Webasto aircon and Canton which I had to give up...

Now onto the uglies - price changed so I had to pay around 6% more than agreed price from original in October. Dealer would not budge, apparently there have been 2 or 3 price hike since October and Skoda spilled that out to customers, not surprising. My options were to pay or to give up the car, they would return the money I gave when reserving it.

Overall I am happy that I only had to give up Canton and nothing else, and I am not happy with the delays (was quoted January-Feb delivery) and price hike.

Will add some photos here and I can add more if you guys want something specific taken once I take delivery

That’s the plates. But the model years usually switch over June/July or at least used to. Model years just being minor spec changes each year bar facelifts…

Thanks guys.

I also ordered a Kodiakk L&K with lot of extras....still no word on build week.

Does anyone know what are the MY22 -> MY23 changes?

@HellBlaze are you from Zagreb?

First post and I misspell the name 🤣 Well, ordered a Kodiaq 😅 Seems I can't edit original post...

We called 3 dealers in Poland with VRSs advertised and these are all customer cancellation orders. The 3 we spoke to said they were ordered 1 x August, 2 x September. Hope this gives some hope for some people.
