No ACC on my L&K Kodiaq

Hi all

I ordered a Kodiaq last year which was delivered early October.

I included the Driver Assistance Package which I am sure included ACC but this option is not available in the new configuration so I cannot double check.

Does anyone know if that package included ACC

It will be a complete ball ache and very frustrating for you, but you have the option to reject the car if the options you paid for are not fitted.

I had specified ACC and heated windscreen and the car was delivered without both.

It was even worse, as I need adaptations, which were fitted to it before I had a chance to check the car was what I ordered.

Turns out that the admin doing the paperwork missed them off the order!!

I managed to get a full tank of fuel, posh mats and a boot mat as compo.

IIRC, it’s not possible to retrofit either, so I rejected the car and had to re-order.

The first car took 7 months to arrive and the replacement another 7 due to Covid.

Cingers crossed the ACC is fitted when your car actually arrives.

Hi all, so an update to this situation. As most of you said the dealer wasn’t able to fit this themselves which was a shame.

In fairness to them, they did try to find a way internally to do it but every tech person/department they tried all said no.

I did shop around retrofitters and found a someone who can do it at a reasonable price. The dealer has said they’re happy to pay for that amount.

I’d say a fair result in the end.

Sounds like a fair result... as long as you get a warranty on the work, and the work doesn't invalidate the Skoda warranty. Might want to double-check that with the dealer...

Call me a sceptic. I have doubts that a 3rd party retrofitter can or would fit a full factory equivalent system. As I understand it, in 2021, hardware and software changes are now protected by a sophisticated system . Can't remember what they call it. So gone are the days of activating options using an OBD eleven or VCDS on any recent model fitted with MIB3. AFAIK there needs to be activation by the factory servers using official Skoda diagnostic equipment no doubt and permissions from Skoda.

I may be completely wrong, I certainly hope you get what you paid for. As it is I would think some substantial compensation on top of a retrofit is in order for all the hassle you have had and still have while this is sorted.

IF you are expected to pay the 3rd party retrofitter before the dealer refunds you, get a written agreement signed with your dealer beforehand to save any future hassle/arguments. And make sure it's all ADAC calibrated and tested before money changes hands.

I personally would have rejected the car as soon as I realised the ACC  I paid for was missing.

Good luck.

I work in automotive and we are producing parts for ACC (not Skoda, but VW). Believe me, you don’t want to have inside 3rd part installation / parts. This radar inside is really precisely installed with correlation to bumper (plastic part).

Apparently no radars need to be installed as the front assist radar will do the job for ACC and even pACC. Only the stalk needs changing which will be a genuine part.

Depending on warranty situation, I will probably only do this once my warranty runs out as I value my warranty more than ACC.
