Hi all,

 

I'm new to the forums and the world of Skoda's, but have decided I'm now in the market for a VRS Fabia, and thought this would be a good place to start gathering information. 

 

I was just wondering if there's a buyers guide anywhere, or if there's any major issues with the cars that I should look for whilst searching for one? 

 

I've read online that there's issues with heater matrix pipework resulting in coolant leaks but is there anything else? 

 

I'll cross my fingers and hope there's nothing too serious!

The only pertinent issue really is that they're all 15-20 years old now, foibles will have been fixed long ago but with mileages really starting to climb and running gear starting to rust or perish you need to buy one that looks like it's been well looked after, this means evidence of lots of new parts.
