I apologise in advance if this has been answered elsewhere, but I've been searching the forums and couldn't find an answer.

I have a 51 plate Octavia vRS, now with 100k on the clock. I've been noticing recently that the rear is getting a bit bouncy bouncy, especially over speed bumps, and I think the rear shocks aren't as fresh as they once were. I've asked my local parts place how much a new set will be, but their parts book doesn't list the vRS seperately. All he has is a 1.8, a 1.8 turbo, a 4x4 and an estate. Does anyone know if the rear shocks on the vRS are the same as the standard octavias, and if not, does anyone have the vRS part number?

The vRS rear shocks are different. I think the part number is 1J0 513 025 BH and the dealer price circa £43 each.

Thanks for that - I suspected they were different. I does look like I'll be getting them from a dealer as none of the spares places I've tried stock RS specific parts.
