RS iV with or without DCC?

Featured Replies

So i tried the RS iV yesterday and it felt okayish. Stiffer than iV, but still ground clearance is the same as in iV and other "normal" suspensions. 143mm according to specs compared to 124mm from petrol RS.

I was wondering that should i have it with DCC or, does it kinda go to waste since the chassis is so high anyway?

I believe the RS iV stock suspension/dampers are stiffer than DCC in Normal, but DCC Sport is stiffer than stock Sport suspension?

Why would stock RS iV have stiffer suspension than diesel or petrol RS?

Well i mean the RS iV suffers from the plugin. Petrol and diesel RS is 15mm lower than the Plugin RS. And the RS iV is stiffer than "normal" plugin variants, even if its the same height.

Thats why i was thinkin that, will the DCC go to waste since it's higher.

Ahhh ok.

I would say DDC would still make quite a difference even the car is 15mm higher.

Any ideas how stiff iss the DCC Normal compared to RS iV stock suspension/dampers?

No idea. But I would assume the stock RS suspension is the same as the Normal DCC mode. To me this is the whole point if the DCC. You have the Normal option which is the same as non-DCC cars. But with the DCC you can also go softer or harder with the suspension settings.

Right, we could assume but i need more than assumption for 1300€ :)

SInce ei believe the Normal mode is more like "normal dampers".

Will be best if you try to find both cars and test them. I doubt that a lot of people have tried both versions of the iV.

Don't understand what do you mean with "normal dampers"?

Currently no dealers have RS iV with DCC unfortunately.

With "normal dampers" i mean the stock/default suspension/dampers on the RS iV. Sorry my english is not the best. Let me try again :)

Is RS iV stock dampers/suspension stiffness same as DCC Normal mode? Or is DCC setting range always the same,

I mean if i have Style 1.5E-tec with DCC. is it the same DCC as RS iV gets?
