Fabia mk iii - Can anyone point me to fault code list please?

Featured Replies

I saw my neighbour today and he said the code didn't return a result on his program of different fault codes.

Thank you so much for making the enquiry. I have booked it in. Told them I don't expect to pay either.

See what happens

Good luck.

For driver's checks, after the car battery (state, condition and charge) would be to check the pressure, condition and state of tyres, especially if the car wasn't bought by you brand new, all sorts of strange things car go on with previous owner(s) and sellers.  Ideally all four tyres would be exactly same make, model (compound/composition and size).

Could be a faulty part and/or ghost codes or even just use - my wife won an off-road driving experience in a Landie but we made the mistake of going to Rockingham Speedway as it's close to us and they were using boring school-run BMW X 3 or 5 and my wife got told off for braking on the hill decent when she'd been instructed not to, which she said she didn't do.  In the afternoon she got an apology as they discovered a sensor had got covered/blocked by mud - on an off-road vehicle, German engineering! 🙄

Thanks for that. Nah. Bought new on the basis it will be trouble free for at least three years. Huh! I change the tyres to the season for safer driving in snow.

Spookily there was an article in the Guardian a couple of days ago saying used car prices had increased by 21% since April last year. Reason given was delays in new car availability and people moving away from public transport.

If stuck over Carista fault codes, contact them directly for answers, I did that when my wife's 2015 Polo 1.2TSI suffered what Carista translated into Air Conditioning EGR valve issue - I used my VCDS to find out the correct meaning of that code and told them, they did not seem to be concerned, or even grateful!

The logical answer to that is "make up your mind!"

OK. Apparently it is turbo actuator needs replacing. Cannot say I have noticed anything. But I'll get it done under warranty.

Sorted, great.

Who knows with computer programs, perhaps it's done a good job of warning you and you'll notice after the turbo actuator has been replaced, under warranty so a good thing to know about.  Let us know if you notice the difference, give it the Italian tune-up (once car is fully warmed of course).
