Will this alloy fit my MK1 07 Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

As it states, will this alloy wheel fit my Mk1 2007 Fabia vRS? ie. is it the original factory fitted alloy right. Just before I press buy.

While we're here, anyone else had problems with their alloy corroding round the egdes and thus just causing slow punctures?

Cheers all!

Yes it's the right one.

Yes this is a common problem on older alloys. You can either get a tyre place to remove the tyres, clean up the bead seats and refit the tyres with bead sealer or you could get your wheels reconditioned.

Reconditioning is the better, longer term solution, the bead sealer will need to be redone whenever you get new tyres but that should be included in the cost of fitting (be warned it might not though). Also you get lovely looking wheels again with reconditioning.

Hope this helps.

When I took it to the garage they tried multiple times using bead sealer. They actually advised reconditioning or a new alloy which I basically took as good advice because that wasn't making them any money haha. We'll try this new alloy anyway and see how we get on! Thank you.

Ah yes, of course it is entirely possible the wheel has gone porous or past the point of saving in which case you've done the right thing.

Good luck with it anyway!

Porous, this is exactly it! I just couldn't think of the word.
