Which turbo do you get in the 2021 2.0 tsi 190hp

Featured Replies

Hey guys!
I just ordered the new sportline superb in india, the car comes with the 2.0tsi emi gone mated to the dq380 gearbox, FWD, the car makes 190hp from the factory.

i just want to know if the car comes with the IS12 turbo or if it’s a detuned version of the IS20 engine?
From the research I was able to do, I think the compression is 11.6:1, if I’m not wrong, but I’m not able to find any information regarding the turbo that is equipped with the car.

The reason I’m asking is cause I am looking to get the car tuned, so I’m trying to figure out how much power I can expect with a stage 2 tune with all the necessary supporting mods.

for reference, the TVS engineering website states the car will make 300hp on a stage 2+ tune, but I am not sure if it’s for an IS12 or IS20 equipped car.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!:)

if TVS says car will make 300hp on a stage 2 (on stock turbo), i think there should be an IS20.

Thank you:) even I thought so too, but then I spent a few hours on google and learnt that the turbo is actually made my continental with the part number-06K 145 654 L and it uses a technology called RAAX.

the turbo size is right in between what a IS12 and IS20 is:)

I might be totally wrong here, but this is what I was able to find:)
