Disappearing Window settings.

Featured Replies

Software: 0792.
If you enter your Enyaq and do not touch the break or turn the ignition on and then select settings > vehicle and swipe to Window. There are two settings:
- Automatically close window in rain.
- Automatically close Window on locking.
If you try to turn these on, you are told ignition must be on.
Tuning it on causes the settings to disappear.

Strange.. i don't see these menus, no matter if i turn or off the ignition. Software version is the same.

Anyone?

Try entering the car after it has been in deep sleep just after infotainment boots up.

Here is the pic from Infotainment boot from deep sleep.

Press start and it instantly changes.

Wonder if somehow when the car is asleep it is not putting any restrictions on the menus (regional or something) and then when its awake it does? Could quite easily be a routine is checking if the car is in sleep or something and if it is then it lets you see it (maybe this is the master list of options) - which it still shouldn't I guess. But when you come to apply the setting, it only lets you see what you are meant to. Any reference to it in the manual?

Well the manual does not mention any of the actual setting options. I would doubt that it is any regional restriction - the manual heading does include the words Electrically operated.

And troubleshooting includes instructions for reactivating window operation after battery disconnection. Might try that next trip.

Just also checked the ID.4 manual (more detailed) not mentioned. Think perhaps the function was foreseen and planned but is incompatible with deep sleep.

I think probably the deep sleep entry is giving you a view into a master list of options that isn't actually enabled to the owner. From my experience having worked in software development for nearly 20 years, I wouldn't be surprised if the menus that are normally available are a subset of those that exist and they are just turned on and off in parameters when the software is packaged up for actual customer cars, based on what they deem is acceptable to include in that version (i.e. its working and tested). That way when they are happy it is ready it is much more easily turned 'on'. When you enter the menu from deep sleep, I suspect it is not applying this 'filtering' to remove the restricted features, and what you are seeing is features that are in the works but not 'released' for the general public.

I'd report it up to Skoda, but dont be surprised if next release they are just missing from the deep sleep menu as they will just apply the same filtering. Or maybe the features will make the cut and you can use them 😀

I’m wondering if perhaps that feature is part of a pack that you don’t have?

I don't think so as someone would have commented they can see and set them.
