I'm a Skoda owner since 2010 (then new Superb II TWD 1.8 TSI DSG) and second addition to family purchased in 2018 (Octavia Combi III FL 1.0 TSI DSG).

Superb's engine piston repair was done in 2019, if I remember right, and since then has been rolling without excess oil consumption (type failure for that engine). It's been driven 145000 km. Octavia has 45000 km without worries.

I still think Skoda offers good value for the money and am fond of the simply clever features. I suspect our Superb will give way to Kodiaq or Enyaq in the near future.
