Cheers BrOwS!

aye - I just rummaged for it in my collection, and watched it again. I'd kick that Mini's *** right now though.

You may or may not have noticed but I have added another one to that page. ;):D

Mini Cooper 0-60 8.9

Fabia VRS 0-60 9.5

Further proof if any were needed....

But you can get real-live people in the back of a Fabia!

any that stated time for the Fabia is with 4 adults and luggage!:P

Do you know what the Mini's time is with? :P

nope havn.t got a clue but I have driven them both extensively and the Fabia VRS is a much faster car, which is more comfortable, cheaper, more features and can fit 4 adults in nicely where the mini is simply a 2+2.

pls don't start Chris it is so childish.

Not entirely true....... Autocar (or it could be autoexpress) qoute the VRS time as 8 and a bit! Skoda's offical figures seem little out.

Also since the vRS is faster round the track do 0-60 times really matter? how many 0-60 drag's against mini's do people do? surely in gear acceleration time is a much more realistic figure given that most people don't do 0-60's when driving on an a-road, b-road, roundabouts, corners, motorways...ok you get the picture.

VRStu - what frmat is the top gear one in?

Media player cant play it - no video, just sound...?

Still makes me smile every time i see that, and i own an octy !

I dont see it as my car vs a mini cooper I just see it as an advertisement for the new generation of Diesels.

I know my car is fast don't need to show me a video:thumbup:

Who determines what "fast" is though? The Fabia is supposed to be "warm"' date=' and in comparison to a CTR, Clio 182, LCR 225 it is just that, and they in comparison to STI's, EVO's are slow, and STI's/EVO's are slow in comparison to Exige, VX220 turbo, Ariel Atom Supercharged etc which in turn are slow in comparison to Lambo's, Ferrari's and the like, although prehaps the Ariel Atom would stand a chance!!! ;)

[/sTIRING MODE']

EVO VII FQ400: 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and a 0-100 in around 9 seconds

I'd say it's quick.

sorry i'm referring to the normal sti/evo etc, because on the above basis you could get a litchfield sti which will do similar speeds to the fq 400.

The atom will kill a ferrari :)

mate at work just got his one delivered :)

yes it will hence my correction in my previous post ;)

that must explain why on PGR3 it's in the top class for performance cars :D

Evos ect are fast , but it gets a bit sickening having to go to the petrol station every 3 days , pay for 2 services a year (why in the 21st century does an engine need a service every 4500 miles? I had an aircooled Bug that needed one every 3000 , but they dont have an oil filter so they have an excuse!) and then youve got tracker fees , your paranoid when you park it in case its nicked/vandalised.....Thers something to be said for a car that is quick enough to be entertaining , without all the stress of running a rally rep.

I can think of plenty of cars which also match the Fabia in terms of the above but have better performance, they just cost a bit more new. There are some serious decent 2nd hand cars out there at the moment!

My general point!

(why in the 21st century does an engine need a service every 4500 miles?

The engine doesn't need a service every 4.5k ;) It's just the AYC oil which needs changing :D

My rally rep was worth every penny I spent on it - more smiles per mile than any other car I've owned/driven :D

my car is fast because it's fast for me coming from a clio 1.2. It's all down to how it is percieved.

I love it!
