Skoda Connect: still not available after 5 months

Featured Replies

I've tried everything to link with Skoda Connect, as has the dealer. I now have a contact at Skoda UK who deals with it, but he's non-technical and can only take advice from HQ. When I try to set it up, I go through all the procedures and end with  a message 'please be patient' followed either by the message for ages or'Connection not available at this time'. The little white globe is showing and the SOS button is green. Apparently, HQ insists on photos, rather than accepting a written submission. Before the new MIB unit was fitted, it worked perfectly. Do I just wait for a software update? This is now the only fault, so I can live with it, but it would be useful to be able to connect to the MySkoda app. Does anyone else have just this problem and if it was fixed, how was it done?

Basically, it's crap!

It works sometimes and not others, with no obvious reason as to why.

After 10 months mine has never been stable/reliable, and then it will expire after 12 months and there's no way I would pay for it!

My first year just ran out. I didn't realise you had to pay for it after the first year. Not a chance.

You would think Skoda customer service might throw everyone an extra year for free to make up for the all the issues everyone has had. Wishful thinking 😅

If you send an angry email, I am quite sure you might get an extension for free.

I need app to start aux heater since the car is parked 350m from the apartment behind 5-6 rows of buildings, thus the remote has no range...
