  1. I got the same errors a few months ago. Dealer kept the car in for over a week as it needed some Airbag control module that was on back order and they claimed it wasn't safe to drive. Dealer was really good. They gave me a loan Superb for the duration of the repair so I was in no hurry for them to fix it.
  2. Software upgrade on Friday there seems to have fixed mine. I noticed mine only ever happened while Apple car play was active too.
  3. Mine warped about 6-7k mls. Notice you have the DSG too. I'm thinking they fitted disks that weren't quite up to the job especially as you have less control over engine braking with DSG unless you use manual mode. Done double that distance now on the aftermarket ones I got fitted and no sign of warping at all.
  4. So I only recently found out after a year of owning a car with DSG that when you're slowing down, instead of having to click the paddle down each gear you can just hold the down shift paddle and it drops to the best gear to help you decelerate. Maybe I should have read the manual 🤣
  5. I tracked mine down to the rear seat catch. A bit of padded tape round the catch seemed to fix it.
  6. My first year just ran out. I didn't realise you had to pay for it after the first year. Not a chance. You would think Skoda customer service might throw everyone an extra year for free to make up for the all the issues everyone has had. Wishful thinking 😅
  7. I phoned Skoda a while ago to check. The discs/pads only get a 6 month warranty from new. I think she said it had to be under 3k miles too.
  8. Its only done 13k. They aren't worn out, just warped. I managed 55k on my MK3 Superb over 4 years with needing the front brakes replaced so I'm not too heavy on the braking although with it being an auto you do tend to use them more rather than engine braking. Got some after market ones via 3rd party supplier which are apparently the right one. Label says they fit a variety of models. Not tried fitting them yet. Will post here if they fit.
  9. Tried to get a price for front discs and pads from Skoda Edinburgh today. They called back to say they couldn't supply pads as they were out of stock across the country and are unlikely to be back in stock for "at least a few weeks". Surely that's a common part across the VAG range. Would be interesting to know if the Golf or A3 runs the same ones.
  10. The front discs on mine have warped. I've had the car since new and only done 10k miles. Ran my Mk3 Superb for 60k miles over 4 years without front brakes needing done so I'm guessing they've cheaped out on the brake material. Tried to order aftermarket ones from Euro car parts, they have discs but they can't supply pads. I was getting desperate so even tried kwikfit and they can't give me a price because its not on their system apparently. Waiting to hear back from main dealer with a price.
  11. Yep, mine is exactly the same. If you hold the steering perfectly straight it goes left. Had the alignment checked by an independent specialist and the wheels are straight. Just the steering wheel that's squint. Dealer was trying to tell me its because of the road camber. This was the same dealer that told me the rear brakes on my last car wore out before the front ones because "the rear brakes do most of the braking" so I wasn't expecting much in the way of sense from them.
  12. That's interesting. Mine was in last Monday for the parking sensor fault as well as other software updates. The dealer told me that Skoda hadn't released the fix for parking sensors/manoeuvring brake yet. I was told to check back in a couple of months. Mind you, they also told me the updates they were doing would fix the wireless android auto so maybe not 100% accurate.
  13. Mine was in the dealers yesterday for its 2nd load of software updates in 6 months. Campaign 48P9, 90Q9 and 97EQ. Was told they would fix the wireless android auto issue but still no joy. I have HW revision B so can't see this ever working until they swap it out Only funny bit was when I realised after I had handed the car in I still had the Bluetooth name set to "This Car Sucks!". Hope they noticed it.
  14. I know everyone has had different experiences with the new Octavia but for me I feel that Skoda have let their loyal customers down badly by releasing a car with so many issues. As I've said many times, they know how to make a good car i.e. the mk3 Superb, but so many things on the new Octavia just haven't been designed or tested properly. I don't think I'll give them another chance when my lease is up which is a pity as my local service and sales dept are really good but there's only so much you can do with a bad product.
  15. This is my first car with DSG so sorry if this is a stupid question. I've noticed that sometimes when I lift off the throttle the gearbox drops into neutral so it's costing out of gear. Other times it decides to keep it in gear. Is this normal? I always thought leaving it in gear while decelerating was better for fuel consumption. It also saves you having to use the brakes as much. Would be interested to know if anyone else getting this or if it's an issue.
