Does anyone know to measure oil pressure with vcds or autel?

Featured Replies

Is making noise when the engine is cold, after I read about this particular noise most of people said it might be normal but I am not convinced and wondering if I can check the oil pressure. I don't have any light on dashboard just the noise . I'll share a youtube video with a similar sound just like mine's

There may not be any sensors that actually measure oil pressure. Most engines just have a below/above threshold pressure switch, whose state you may be able to observe.

I would agree with others  that's the normal sound of the oil vacuum pump.

Mine does that in the morning, it goes away once warmed up.

I would not be worrying about it.

I'll check vcds when I have a moment and see if oil pressure can be logged.

No oil pressure transducer just a LOP switch and the temperature/quality sensor in the bottom of the sump

That sound is 'normal' on the pump :) . I have read that some people had it replaced with a new one and it made the same sound.
