Aren't the 'normal' centre caps just a friction fit into the hole?  I.e. doesn't make any difference how deep the whole actually is.

No. They snap in to a groove.  Hence the comments above.

I have no idea what they are, but they're not the wheels fitted to my car. However, the video on the page does show the correct wheels without the trims and with centre caps...

Someone mentioned that the aero trims are not one piece and that the centre caps can be pressed / pushed off and fitted directly to the alloy wheel? Is this a possibility?

Pretty sure they're one piece. Will take another look just in case, but I'm not convinced.

I thought them, like an old wheel trim, to be one piece, we'd need a locking wheel nut cover as well wouldn't we?

Probably a dum question, can the  plenty full but short hub caps be inserted from the rear of the wheel? ie they would be sunk into the hub well on the alloy.

Another UK facelift vRS owner with centre caps fitted to  their Sagittarious alloys. He claims they're standard Skoda caps, but is going to check with the dealer to confirm...

Interesting.  I'm sure I've recently read about a facelift VRS already with a dealer that wasn't for sale as it was closed as a misbuild due to the steering wheel colour.

This current marketing shot appears to show a VRS with an all black steering wheel too I think.  Change of spec I wonder?

Yeah, they ran out of red thread due to the semiconductor shortage.

 

Can't say it would have bothered me all that much - but it does look a bit odd when you have all the red thread on the seats and dash etc.

Given that the cap is at the eye of the storm so to speak, I don't imagine it would take very much friction to keep it in place?

Is there any correlation between heated vs non-heated steering on the VRS and stitching colour?  Is yours heated Yogi?

I too read someone had a mid build and couldn’t sell it for some reason with a different colour wheel!
 

It’s definitely red stitching on the configurator 🤔😊
