There have been several threads about owners ( of various models) who have had trouble with LEDs failing in their dash/display binnacle - I'm trying to say the LEDs that illuminate the speedo, rev counter fuel gauge needles.

 

There's one called TotalTronics in Wareham, Dorset who looks more than capable of repairing the failed LED but he's two hours there and two hours back and I want whoever does it to remove the binnacle and replace it rather than me remove it and send it somewhere.

 

The threads I read seem to suggest a specialist is called for  rather than ..... a non specialist .... i.e. one who can strip components down rather than just diagnose and replace a given unit.

 

Someone who comes recommended and has known experience in what I'm on about would be good.
