Featured Replies

Hello to you all and I hope you are well

CCZA engine 1z5 vrs octavia estate 2010 model.
Does anybody know what this weeping turbo oil feed? Gasket is please?

I already have the gasket 06F145757L for the turbo oil return to replace which is quite bad indeed but think the one underneath it with the banjo? Fitting should also be replaced.Want to do this asap before I blow the turbo!!

I’ve taken some photos,1st one with yellow crayon is the one I’m quizzing about,2nd photo (Oil return)is the part number I already have.

P.S I think I will renew the torx? Bolts for the oil return if anyone knows their size please, they seem a bit soft when I put a socket in there …..

Thank You very much for your help

Anyone that is interested, these turbo oil return bolts are indeed XZN type,I bought 2 at 33p each from all car parts fast uk

The XZN bits for VAG,I bought a kit of 4 bits,Us Pro on Amazon for under a tenner.

Hmm the vag -4 triple square kit,all are too big for these turbo oil bolts which are either M8 or M9.

Now another kit is on the way from Amazon.

Wish this VAG group kept things simple with sockets and the odd Allen key fittings!

Also for anyones interest, the EA888 engines turbo oil feed pipe(circled in yellow above) uses a simple round copper washer rather than a gasket that is needed in the Return pipe.

Cheers.

XZN sizes are bit odd, the 'M' number of the tool/head is not a 1:1 match with the M number of the metric thread size of the screw/bolt

This document shows a couple of ways of measuring a given head pattern to see what size XZN tool will fit:

An update here again. Those XZN bits are not needed for the bolts which hold the turbo oil return after all.

They are regular Torx-I think T25?

So now I have the XZN bit kit anyway,I’m sure will come in handy in future for our cars.

Thanks again for all of your help chaos and ladies.

Pic of bolt head?

I’ll be going back under there in the next few days,I’ll get a photo.

I was sure it was the XZN m8 but no dice.Paid £9.99 for fedex next day delivery of the 2x@33p each bolts too!

My little Bahco mini ratchet set had the bit that fit-actually looks like a T30

Been back under the car,it’s deffo a T30. I put my bit in again to give it an extra raunch.

Heres a photo I just took.

Also the XZN bolts photo I ordered these  to replace the originals if too rounded off(Eyesights not so great close up,you have to approach these bolts head on straight or they will round off)

Thanks everyone.

Original gasket was rotten and car feels as if has lost a slight misfire now too after replacing.I first replaced all spark plugs and coil packs! This misfire became much more noticeable after the new stainless steel exhaust
