Monte carlo black bits

Featured Replies

Hi, I have tried searching already, can anyone tell.me if the black pack bits fit on an 08 plate fabia? I've read they were face lifted after this hear but was the grille and the bonnet trim around the badge changed in shape size then?

Ideally I'd like to swap the grille bonnet trim to black, maybe grille if needed to a monte one and possibly the black pack lights if possible.

Cheers anyone that responds politely lol

Grilles are different, lights are different and not interchangeable.

So even the chrome on the bonnet next to the badge is different?

Why don't you paint the chrome bits?its quite easily done that's what i did with mine IMG_20191214_090200.thumb.jpg.62f04c7667c8d04c04cc47c0b5d0c74e.jpgIMG_20191222_152557.thumb.jpg.cd3d99a283684e484554fdf0f7373a12.jpg

Yeh cheers looks like it will come to that, reason was it's in the firing line for stone chips

I think superskoda did a black version, for older cars, too.

Yeah, bonnets are completely different.

Best way to do what you're thinking of is just getting your stuff painted like the monte bits. The trim on montes is black magic pearl to match the roof not "just" gloss black, not really much difference though. Maybe a clearbra on top of the paint would protect it from stonechips.

Yeah stone chips are a pain just have to touch up with a decent touch up pen

How about the rear lights?

I've just picked up the car and it appears to have 1 smoked and 1 non smoked rear lights???

Spotted a pair of monte rear lights for sale cheap and looked on Google it looks like rear lights are from 07 to 14 years

Anyone know if they are straight swap on a 2008 model?

Thanks

Yes, smother it in black lipstick if you want a goth pig, alternatively drive it some first and fix any problems before worrying about tarting it up when the weather gets better.

If you really can't wait, go and buy a load of tacky crap to slap all over it for Christmas :D

Excellent Sepulchrave, and now I know your real name is not Lol 🤣
