Featured Replies

Well its about time I actually joined Briskoda. I recently bought my first Skoda, a Octavia VRS TSI 230 estate apsolutly love it, acres of space and handles great for a family wagon, haven't any great pictures of it but I have of plans to upgrade a few things so I will be  pestering about random things no doubt and get some decent pictures up

Howdy and a warm welcome to Briskoda! I love that colour on just about any Skoda. :hi:

Thanks, it's a great colour, I've seen a lot off cars in the short time I've had it jumping on the brakes as they think it's an unmarked police car 😆, first mod will be to add some mudflaps, honestly what were they thinking not having any

They can really change a car! Keeps your sills and stuff good too. :)

do the Nordy boys use them as unmarkeds? better than the i40s our lads have to use for everything other than the Regional Support Units getting Q7s. (though there are a few tuscons starting to turn up outside stations..)

i wonder are you far from @FUBAR

Yeah full fleet of estate Skoda's mainly Octavia's and Scouts, but they have a few superbs as well, yeah I'm down south often enough and they love to the Hyundai i40 estate lol

Octy and Scouts as a lot of marked and some vRS unmarked, then a big fleet of armoured Superbs. Still a lot of Mondeo estates doing mainly community policing it seems, then a fair whack of BMW's still coming in, Audi's seem to be almost gone filtering out slowly. Insignias which were useless of course have been replaced fully now with Superb. Can't forget some load of armoured Discovery's and a big load of less discrete Landrovers lol.  What else, Roads Policing ones have a Fast N Furious type of line up with Golf R's being popular and Cupra now too.

Around here it's Peugeot 308 and Ford Focus estates for community work, and 5-series BMWs for the "bigger" stuff. :)

I guy i knew from school runs the Evo VIII he spends more time talking to boy racers then working. He's usually parked up at the filling station in Moira.

WOW they still have that? Saw they just got a pile of Harley electric motorbikes all marked up lights sirens etc but as bike safe stand show pieces. Where does the Evo live now, used to be Mahon barracks last I saw (some some time ago).

I'm not sure where its at, might be retired, the last time i saw him was the last GTINI at the Eikon, he was on the PSNI stand with the EVO.

Inside Mahon it was like a movie set for Fast N Furious, the roads seemed lined with all their interceptor fleet when they first started it and seemed to have at least 2 of every nice car at the time.

I was rear ended by one of the traffic cops from Mahon barracks in Portadown a year or two ago. She was on her mobile at the time :wondering:

The officer travelling behind her sorted it all out insurance wise as she was in shock and he said she would have lost her job in traffic branch if it went through the books.

Useful info above re unmarked cars as I'm off to visit family in NI shortly.

Round here there's a few Kodiaqs marked and unmarked so my florescent yellow walking gear usually causes a few double takes...
