Celtic Tuning with Graham?

Featured Replies

An increase from 130 to 190bhp with just a remap??

Std figures on awesomes rollers for a pd130 is around 130bhp at the wheels and 145bhp at the fly.

Celtic whp are around 155-162bhp. Fly is 166 to 174bhp.

That's more like it!

I have the same map as Shifty (Dave), and I can confirm that my car flies. It pulls away from 1 Clicked Fabias, and with the addition of my Blueflame it sounds absolutely awesome too.

At the end of the day, a remap is a remap. Like others have said, take a drive in various remapped cars and make your own mind up. I did the same and after taking Dave's for a spin I was sold.

They'll come to your house to do it, for

Harry, have you fitted the 160 intake and green filter or just had the remap? If just the remap, how well does it go?

Yep, green filter and PD160 intake fitted.

IMO, the car goes like sh!t off a shovel. Just ordered a FMIC from forge which will be getting fitted in roughly 2 weeks time. I'm also planning on a hybrid turbo and clutch upgrade.

Cheers Harry.

Did they advise you to upgrade the clutch or are you doing that because of the other mods aswell?

Seriously temped to get this done. How long did they take to do it?

Sorry for all the questions mate

With a hybrid turbo/FMIC combo you'd definitely want a clutch upgrade as otherwise you'd either have to turn it down or you'll REALLY have to drive around it (too much).

Will be interesting to see what comes out at the end ;)

I have noticed that these maps give huge torque. How do clutches and turbos fair?

My old Fabia VRS was remapped by Celtic.... way faster than a Revo mapped one (the same demo car that Shifty wasted with his Celtic mapped Fabia) I drove and that was a confirmed 180bhp, so the claimed 190bhp is more than realistic with a filter and PD160

About 170 is correct from a remap. 185 hp if the tuner is very aggressive or the rolling road is slightly optimistic. I think Revo claim about 165.. So anything in between 165/175 is fairly accurate.

Glos.

They took roughly 30 minutes to perform the remap.

First of all we went for a drive as standard to make sure everything was OK, and they scanned the ECU to make sure that was alrite aswell.

After that they get the laptop out and work their magic.

30 minutes later they call you back and you go for a test drive to confirm its how you want it. You will be blown away at this stage - I was. :D

As for the clutch thats really only because I'm wanting to add more mods to the car. The standard clutch I have now has NEVER slipped and is absolutely in top condition.

Remember that magical day back in November so well..............

Have you driven a Celtic & Revo mapped Fabia VRS ?

Nope, but have seen videos of the two cars go on the same rolling road. Very close figures!

Snoopie if you ever meet me you can have a go in mine if you want.

Vice versa my dear friend!

Cheers harry, you've sold it to me. Will get it done after my hols in september. Excited already.

I know someone who's going to get their Fabia Revo'd in the morning. After reading the last page of this thread, I hope he won't be disappointed...
