Hi I am wondering if the dual mass has gone on my automatic as it makes a dry clunking sound every now and then when idling. Gear selection is sluggish and struggling we have had the oil changed and filter. Filter was a little bit dirty. Oil appeared clean.

You mean a normal torque converter auto, not a DSG?

Definitely dual mass as we have now changed it .It was worn. Just got an unresponsive throttle pedal on first press but okay on second?

So a 6 speed DSG.

How many miles has the car done, &  has it had DSG oil changes every 40,000 miles or sooner?

 

What mileage was that oil change done at on the DSG?  

When had it been done before?

 

When was the Haldex Oil changed, pump / filter cleaned etc etc.
