Octy2 vRS VS Golf GTI

Featured Replies

I didn't even see this (as I hate 5th Gear) but I'm surprised at some of the reactions. I would have thought the Golf GTI and MkII vRS would be pretty evenly matched, apart from the DSG giving a slight advantage. But keep it in perspective, this was a track test, not a "which is the best car".

And I couldnt afford to buy another knitted jumper new.

Can I point out that when I drove the GTI and posted a review on here, everyone jumped out at me saying the Octavia was better handling, faster, better looking etc...... Now people are saying "of course the Golf would have been faster going forwards" etc.

Make your mind up people

Still reckon the used car roadshow is the best car programme.Even if Jason Dawe is not so car savvy.

More interesting than all the others put together.

And when is said prog on? and on which channel? Never even heard of it...

Its on Men & Motors. Scheduled randomly with repeats from years ago thrown in all over the place for good measure.

Does Men and Motors still exist? Its been taken off Freeview to be replaced with yet another quiz channel (yawn), is it still going on Sky then?

Unfortuanately M&M was just taken off freeview and replaced with the ****e that is ITVplay.

Shame, while M&M may have been pretty poor that show was worth watching and it couldn't be any worse than the current gambling channel by ITV.
