W8nkers. Like he said golf won going forward so lets p1ss about let the Skud win and save 3k in prize fund. Fed up to the back teeth with this shonety programme, was hopeing tnights episode would lift it but no. Still spent a quid to try to win.

Sorry I Tend to get them muddled up, nothing really worth watching on either of them IMHO

I was very disappointed by that too, expecting a faster version of the Mini Vs Fabia vRS race.

That's what makes Top Gear so awesome - the tests are both humourous and have (some) point to them.

You would expect the Golf to be the quicker of the two but that reversing mullarky was total ******!. :thumbdwn:

I don't think it's 'obvious' that the Golf would win but I would agree that any reversing competition is a dumb way to prove things.

I would have to agree with all.. a totally pointless 10 minutes of television that wasn't even worth the track time let alone the air time!

The golf did have a DSG box.. you could clearly hear it changing up a gear with both of tiffs hands on the wheel.

Just another reason why top gear is still the number one car show!

I actually didn't think it was too bad after watching it. Tiff liked it, mentioned he had a soft spot for it. Sure, we would all like to see the vRS beating the Golf at its own game, but alas, it wasn't so. You'd rather they give the Golf away after it showed the vRS the door? Guess it would save me a few quid trying to win it

Missed this (although it doesn't sound like I missed much ). How much faster was the Golf going round the track? Wouldn't have thought DSG would have made that much difference? :confused:
