Karoq Windscreen Condensation Issue

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I know that this has been covered in the past, however, with the cold snap I have been getting condensation on the windscreen and other windows on our car.

It's a sportsline with a sunroof.

It will be going into my local dealer within the next week.

From looking at posts, I can see that the following have been mentioned as possible areas for leaks.

  • Fitting just in front of wing mirror letting water in.
  • Poorly fitted pollen filter which lets water in below the grill.
  • Faulty roof drain valves for sunroof.
  • Blocked drain in the scuttle area under the bonnet
  • Windscreen lettibg water by.
  • Skoda tech said he used the ultra sonic piece of kit to identify a hole in the recess that the panoramic roof sits in.

When I was really bad it took about 15 minutes to clear, driver side was the last to clear.

Sure that I am missing some issues so if anyone add any others I would be grateful.

Cheers

Gordon

I have same model, all windows clear quickly at all times, just push ventilation control button for windscreen demist (ac on).

Hi Goggles,

Should havementioned, thats's with full demist on and A/C on as well.

I did have sunroof drains modified as recall, but had no issues before that. But if you haven't had it done might be worth doing as it's obviously been an issue on some vehicles.

OP has a 2021 car therefore should already have the new design drain plugs. I thought pollen filter issues would relate to new filter that haven't been fitted properly, but again given it's a 2021 car that's unlikely to have happened.

Even if I've left wet equipment in boot overnight, car has never taken that long to clear. Even supposing there was a leak somewhere, 15mins to clear is a hell of a long time. Makes me wonder if the a/c is working properly? Is air blowing out from drivers side vent when you select demist button?

Yes, A/C seems to work fine - nothing wet left in the car.

Windscreen is fully fogged before we get into the car - just waiting on local dealer to contact us.

I will check the air con tomorrow.

Thanks

It's more to do with the weather rather than the car especially if you do short journeys  I.e. under 20 miles  the car never gets a chance to dry out
