License plate lighting issue

Featured Replies

License plate lighting does not work despite replaced light bulbs. Which fuse is current? Other suggestions for solution. Fabia II 2011

Might be worth testing bulbs elsewhere, testing the wiring/lamp fitting has power and/or checking the wiring loom, where it goes through from the chassis, to the tailgate to be sure it has not fractured. Not sure which fuse is used on the tailgate lights, though.

The feed to the number plate lights is a tapping of each side light circuit, right and left, so "if" your side lights are working, then subject to the bulbs being good, the problem is with the lamp assy, the earth or as mentioned above the wiring to them.

PS what the hell did you post with to make your text that big !!!...........

The number plate light is on fuse 17 together with the LEFT front side and back light. The right side and back light is fused separately.

If both number plate are not working it would be the earth point or cable
