You're in a bad way, it's just a car dude.

Girls aren't interested, only boys are.

I read the thread title as "boot leaking VRS Mk2" - maybe time for an eye test, methinks.

Miss representation of the legal identity of a motor vehicle on that front-ish plate - wonder if that invalidates insurance? Plus the fact that is not fitted in the correct position.

"No VRS like it 😆"

I am clinging to the vain hope that is in fact true and that its just a Photoshop nightmare!

Nope it wouldn't, In this case if stopped by traffs for a dodgy plate you would be done for no insurance and car towed. They would simply hit you with some jargon about ANPR no being able to recognise it and dish out 3 points.

I could show you 3 cars that fabia's that look identical to that without effort. Its only a maxton splitter kit, spoiler, rear diffuser and a few bits of gloss vinyl threw on. Unless its porting a v10 or some crap and he's not told us,

That is some relief, I was beginning to wonder if it was all standard for a VRS aside from the vinyl stripes.

My comment was tongue in cheek, I was responsable for several abortions at 17.

There are Police Scotland officers that would be making sure you get a NIP on the front reg plate not properly displayed and  inside the car if you have no Tape or screws to fit it to the front of the car.   These officers might well be north of Inverness on the NC500.  They have been doing it often enough.      Ps.  Plenty Fabia vRS hatch or estates or just Fabias about that look like they have been in a ram raid through Demon Tweaks or Halfords about.  Tarts handbag comes to mind.

**** u haters

All a bit harsh and lots of assumptions being made.  Some people must be extremely crumbly if they don't know some girls not only like these sort of cars they drive them.

If the car is being used on the road with an incorrectly spaced number plate that is wrong but so are many others, often ego plates on ego cars and vans owned by those old enough to know better.

Not a good response - try again with a bit more info about the car and yourself - this is a forum not like FB or Twitter with short hit 'n' run posts, that post is like one you'd get from a 12-year-old troll.

I was teasing, it was banter, come on, you don't need a dumb emoji to tell you when a post is obviously tongue in cheek!

I personally hate all the stupid safety police posts on here, we have real police to take care of rule breaking, if the OP gets a tug for incorrect number plate guff then that's his problem.

Many time times I've had others misunderstand my deadpan posts so I know humorous intention can be be misunderstood or not appreciated.  On this occasion I didn't read it as banter, possibly the bit about girls and the OP's poster name (? I've no idea of the correct term avatar? poster name? member's name?).

And it did bring a pile-on of some other less than generous responses.

Perhaps the OP's response was also banter and I misunderstood that too, so difficult with just the written word to read, in person there are so many more cues and clues to pick up from.

You've put your post was banter, I missed it, it wouldn't have worried me personally if it was addressed to me but against a first post   (under 'Noman' at least) to me it seemed a bit harsh.

I wonder if  Noman will now to improve their response.

ETA: I personally dislike ego plates and those spaced incorrectly and B&W plates on those that would generally not had them when the vehicle was new - but luckily I'm not in the Police. 😅

I would expect Noman to get a tug for having the plate behind the windscreen rather than for the lettering being misplaced.

Of course having gone to the trouble of stopping someone to point out the error of their ways it would be rude not to nick them for the spacing as well especially if their communication skills towards officers of the law resemble those displayed on here.

Have you blacked out the indicators on the front?

I hadn't even noticed that.

It's your car. If you're happy with it that's all that matters. Aside from the potential problem with the reg plate it looks OK.

Good job dude, he's here seeking peer approval, I drive cars, I don't spend my time staring longingly at them, from where I sit how the car looks is completely irrelevant.

Ruined a tasteful car in my opinion,

this is the best looking fabia around by far you have just tackyfied yours my friend 👍30E9E147-A737-470A-83E4-7788386AC30C.thumb.jpeg.61a1794beb7a28e851bff207e37a2c06.jpeg

Presumably that's another number plate that is for show purposes and not for road use in the UK.

Both cars look good to me - but I'm an old-fart . . .

and not into girls-fashion, girl-effeminate fashion, effeminate fashion, male-effeminate fashion. repressed male-female fashion, pretend macho (really repressed effeminate ) fashion, macho fashion or even old-farts fashion - perhaps as a mate once said, I'm asexual.

Can't it just be, whichever car, is to your taste or not?

I sometimes feel well out of it here as my knees don't have to be set at different time-zones so as not to squash my 'brains'.

I've got a cracking line (unoriginal joke) for thomasinaspin's photo but I don't want to offend anyone particularly if that's not thomas's grey car. 😁

I'm afraid I find the Mk2 ugly compared to the classy lines of the Mk1, the Mk3 looks ok but is very boxy and anodyne by comparison.

But I'm not really a 'visual' aesthete.

I agree for the most part. I'm less partial to a Mk2 (which might get me hung in this section) than I am to a Mk1. You can tell Skoda wanted something reminiscent of the Mk1 with the Mk3, however. If you look at a Mk3 in the dark, without glasses, and squint really, really hard, you'll see something like a Mk1.

Mk1 looks great, Standard Mk2s look meh but I think montes make the best of the mk2s shape. Mainly with the mk2 the problem is the very high roof line compared to a lot of other cars, including the mk1 and the mk3. The black roof on montes (and vRS') sort of hides how tall it ism

My cars on coilovers and I parked up next to a bog standard Mk3 fabia, my roofline was higher than it, but if you looked at the wheel arches, the belt line on the doors and even the mirrors mine were much lower. Its such a weird thing to try describe and not have photos or something to help.

There you go, generosity in which is the least ugly lump of metal and paint, both all totally wrong in my opinion, as a person of little or none aesthete, visual, or otherwise of lumps of metal and paint.  I'm not that asexual!  Well not quite yet, well I don't think so, perhaps I am but even as a red-blooded youth I've never seen much to get excited about with cars, does that make me some sort of anti-carpervert? (lack of smiley).

Well its not ideal but this might give some idea of what I was trying to say.

Both cars were on standard suspension on both of these photos. The mk1 sat high in the back as at that time it was stripped bare inside.20201216_174245.thumb.jpg.e4f7486861200c5084f2630b0aecf8d0.jpg

Mind you montes are lower than standard mk2s, and its still taller than the mk1 on normal suspension.20210514_190011.thumb.jpg.d4f8c8d58ce1b347e7a31526f96c3060.jpg

This time both of them are side by side, same suspension as before. Mk2 still sits taller.

I personally like slightly different fonts on plates, plates on my car are a thicker font than standard, but they're clearly legible and displayed properly. Shoving the front one on the windscreen like that, with a car looking like that is just begging to be hassled.
