Ventilated Seats

Featured Replies

How do people find them      is it a luxury gone too far?

I only ask as I had a hire car with ventilated seats and they were quite nice - Hyundai

You makes your choices and you pays your money... what is a luxury for one person is an essential for another.

Personally, I've never felt the need. Yes, leather seats get hot in the height of summer, but they cool down pretty quickly with the air con belting out. If I lived in the south of France then I'd consider them, but here in the UK... not worth the expense imho.

Love them. We have them in our new L&K and I've also had them in other cars.

Great when you have a panoroof as you can let the sunshine in a still keep nice a chilled.

I had them on my Superb 2. I really miss them as RS sport seats couldn`t be equipped with ones.

As Yogi bear said, you pay your money you make your choice. They'd have come in handy on our first few Toyotas back in the 70's when the seats were covered in plastic but must say I've never experienced hot seats since. Then again I don't drive b0llock naked.

Might be something up with my cars then because my sunroofs are tinted and it just doesn't let heat in to the car. It can get stuffy in the hight of summer but ventilated seats aren't going to help my breathing.. If I'm driving with the roof open then I get hot sun on my face but... well I'm sitting on the seat so how does it get hot?

There are a few options that I have which others will think are a waste of money and that's fine by me. There are some options available that I consider a waste of money and for me, ventilated seats come top of the pile. The sleeping pack comes a close 2nd :D

I would have thought it was obvious that I was taking about having the roof open. You also don't get the sun on your face, top of your head maybe but as the AC is pointless if the roof is open the seats keep you nice and chilled instead.

Some like mother, some like her daughter.

Not to me it wasn't. So when it's freezing cold outside, do you switch off the heater, open the sunroof then turn on the heated seats and steering wheel?

I can't get the song " Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun" out of my mind. :D

But as I say if it makes folk happy, that's all that counts.

They are also great if you've had a really hot curry the night before 😂
