Best towing mirrors for the Superb?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Long story short, I took a 6hr towing training course a few weeks back using my Superb and whilst the course was excellent, I borrowed my fathers Milenco Aero mirrors for the course - the type that attach with a screw on bracket. Right at the end of the course the drivers side mirror decided to commit suicide and fall off on to the road - shattering into a million pieces!

I now owe my father a set of mirrors and being as the Superb will now be our primary tow car I thought it best to get some that work well with the car. After this experience, I thought about acquiring some that have a strap around the mirror to hold them on.

What is everyone using or what do you recommend?

Thanks

Andy

Hi

I tow a caravan with a 2015 Skoda Superb Estate Mk3, using Milenco Grand Aero mirrors. I did have a problem several years ago with one mirror fixing slipping off the door mirror at speed. The problem has since been entirely solved by the use of the Milenco Aero F pads, which have a small ridge on the face of the pads, which fits into the indentation on the door mirrors on the Superb. You can find them on the Milenco website where they are stock number 4664.

By the way, I have found the Grand Aero mirrors significantly better than the standard ones, giving you a floor to roof view.

Grand Aero's for me too, not using the F pads but will certainly look at them!

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Thanks for the advice guys, and thanks for pointing out the alternative clamp grips! Wish I had known about them before.

I'm at the camping show next week and will see what I can obtain there!

Thanks again.

Aero mirrors for me, used them last year fo firs time on our new Superb, mirror housing shape not the best but stayed on ok for 600 mile round trip.

Not sure how good strap type would work as mirror shape may allow straps to slip off.
