The New Addition

Featured Replies

Just thought i'd pop a few pics of the furby on the forum seeing as i gave her a wash over today.

Had her just over 2 weeks and coming to the end of the run in period so will be able to see what she can really do soon.

She's pretty much standard at the mo...... The only things i have done are cosmetic.....

1. Bosch / Renault aero wiper conversion.

2. Front Drinks Holder

3. Full colour engine cover Skoda badge.

4. Rear vRS badging fitted to sides of the car.

looks great, aero wipers really 'finish' it off.

I remember when I had a car that colour! lol.....

Very nice. I need those aero wipers! Was the conversion hard?

Nope..... You just unclip the original wiper blades from the arms...... Then clip the new aero's onto the arms..... Just like replacing the wiper blade like-for-like really.

Took my local Renault dealer a week to get the blades..... Fitted 'em in their car park, with a couple of the Renault blokes lookin' on bemused as i fitted them to a Skoda...... Even they said they looked mint when they were on though!!!!!

Neat and tidy job!

Just a pity about the 'Blades' sticker in rear window - wipes

Hope your leaving your car in first gear! Tilts like that from my experience wear out the handbrakes and become weaker! Lovely looking car!

what is that daft sticker in the back window of the car??

Thanks

Costs?

1. Wipers - About the £30 mark

2. Front drinks holder - Around the £25 mark

3. Engine cover badge - About £5

4. Rear vRS badges - £25 for three..... They come with the 'Fabia' part as well but you just cut the vRS part off..... (The 3rd one is possibly going on the glovebox door).

Hope this helps.

It's the drinks holder that fits alongside the head unit....... There are two narrow panels either side of the HU.... You can only fit the drinks holder on the passenger side though as the it would be in the way of your indicator stalk if fitted on the drivers side.

What car are the wipers from? Clio/Megane??

Scenic according to this thread - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/fabia/front-wiper-lengths/38184/2/?highlight=renault+wipers

Part number: 77 11 236 179

Does that ring a bell?

He he he....... that's the one matey........ The Renault dealer will tell you that you need two of them but ignore them or tell them that you only need one and just order one...... Their system shows it as a wiper rather than a set of two wipers.

Cheers

Dave.

Thanks for that. I'll see if they arrive on Saturday.
