Yeti folding front seat

Featured Replies

Hi. I'm not sure whether my front passenger seat back is able to fold flat so enable me to carry a long item of luggage. The seat back  has the lever on the side, and the manual shows this as being pulled to release the seat back.  But it doesn't seem to release.

The manual is not clear, but the fold flat front seat may be an option that I don't have - how can I tell? (other than it not working!)

Any advice much appreciated.. Tom

Do you mean "D" here?
If yes it's the lumber support
I use the tilt "C" to lay the seat back if carrying long loads.

Me too, Urrell., as I don't have the 'fold-flat-forwards' option
(although I realise this doesn't help the OP as he may indeed have the "f-f-f" option himself)

I seem to have become highlighted?

You're special 😀 😀 😀

I doubt if many had the fold forward option.
I find by sliding the seat forwards and laying the back right back helps.
Edit: Fold forward passenger seat back would have been a £110 option on mine.

Thanks guys. That lever is also shown on the next page of my manual as for folding flat. But you are probably right that I don't have that option,

Thanks for the tip about sliding forward and folding back - will try it.

Sit in the seat and move the lever thru it's range, you will feel it pushing into your back.

Although the option was available it was not possible with optional Sport seats as the bolsters would not allow the fold flat. I tried to spec this combination for my 2014 factory build but it was not possible. I think this would also have been the case on the posher and more luxurious models with the beefed up leather seats.
