Hi

Firstly sorry I know this subject has been covered I have been buried in the searches for a while but could not quite find what I’m looking for I have a 2016 vRS and I was shocked that the road noise is worst than my 2012 `Audi a3 I knew the skoda would be bad just not this bad I’m looking to find the best areas to sound proof and if there are any cut to fit kits or guides to help me along the way and generally get peoples advice who have managed to quieten theirs down

thanks

Dave

I remember reading through some soundproofing someone did on here, it was a good improvement, but a lot of work.

Now where is that thread....

A lot of the road noise is through the boot floor. You can buy sound deadening foam and line the boot floor. Mine was already done when I got my car so I cannot comment on any differencr made. All I do know is that my car is vert quiet when cruising.

I can't find the thread on my phone, I'll try later on the PC, it was great as had detailed photos.

Something I might be tempted with myself as well.

Hi @DaveMark,

I added sound deadening to my doors and popped a little guide with photos here:

At a later stage I also added sound deadening to the boot and it helped improve the road noise of the car. I found the linked thread to be really helpful.

I hope it may support you in your research too…

my 68 plate 1.6 diesel is far noiser and harsher on the road than my previous Superbs and Passat, like tyre pressures are 60psi...(they arent)

though ive new Dunlops on the front...?
