Superb Estate: Strange cut-outs in load area - anyone know what purpose they serve?

Hi Berisford, they are for storing the roof bars when the vario-floor is in raised position.

Almost forgot, the larger cutout takes the retractable load cover.

Arent the cutouts for the retractable boot cover, and the jacket thing hanger? the wierd shaped square cut-out i mean?

That's handy. A vario-floor only feature I guess. I'm unfortunately lacking in mine. 

I NEVER knew that about the load cover, all those times I have put behind the front seats or left in the house!  Does it mention in the manual somewhere about this storage?

 

It does but cant remember of the top of my head which page it is, i went to check the manual if maybe i said wrong, and that those are for the roof bars, but they are indeed for the load cover, and the jacket holder thing, on the estate at least, but you must have the variable floor!
