PHEV Owners / Drivers be aware a Recall might be coming your way for the car.

I've just been told that campaign 27J6 gateway control unit service has started. This is to replace the battery monitoring control unit and software update. Car going in on the 21st April.

Sending my Octi IV VRS to have the SOS module sorted and noticed that 27J6 has been added to the list of works too. Car's going in tomorrow.

Our Octy is due its first service in May and when I booked it in I was told that there were two updates. However, when I put the VIN code into the update search, no updates were flagged up.

Not all updates are recalls, and not all recalls are updates

Got a call from Skoda today, to book it because of a fault that affects my iv regarding the "battery protection system".

The person on the phone mentioned the 12v system.. and some firmware updates to the battery "command and control module"...

Not sure if it's the same thing referred in this topic, or if it was not well explained.

That sounds like the 27J6 service campaign, which replaces the battery control module and is meant to rectify occasions where the 12v battery is being depleted, part of this involves a firmware update. This came out on 21st March.

Not seen anything regarding a battery fire risk recall/service action yet.

That makes sense! Thank you for your clarification.
