Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) on Matrix LED System

Featured Replies

Hi mates,

I have the Matrix LED system, however, I believed the Dynamic Light Assist function is not enabled.

Anyone have the long coding/adaptation to enable this?

Do you turn it on and it doesn't work or does it not turn on? Why aren't you just going to the dealer with this issue?

You see, I don’t see Dynamic Light Assist in the car menu. I went back to the dealer, they said there’s no such thing with the Matrix LED. That’s bulls!

But can you turn on automatic high beam or not? If you can then what is the dynamic light assist for?

I don’t have an option for Auto High Beam either.

It's on the turn signal stock, you have to push it forward once to enable it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIKZ6aKgIlQ

Nope. That just activates  the normal high beam.

Are you sure you have matrix led then? That's the strangest thing I've read yet. And how does the dealer say it's not available if you paid for it lmao.

Then you do not have that option but could maybe activate it via vcds or obd11

I’m very certain what I’ve got here on my ride. Don’t doubt it.

Yeah. There are codings for VWs and MK3. Just hoping someone here with the MK4, running matrix led with DLA enabled could share their long coding for 4B, A5 for comparison.

I thought the whole idea of Matrix LED headlights was that, once on full beam, the dynamically changed the beam pattern based on what it ‘sees’ ahead of it. It’s an option I don’t have but would like!

So, three possibilities…

  1. I got the wrong idea
  2. The OP Matrix LEDs are not setup correctly - hence the question
  3. The OP doesn’t have Matrix LEDs - but based on comments above, they are fitted.

I think you do not have them as the commercial shows it is standard with matrix lights. Check your order if it mentions it if it does then go to the dealer with this clip.

I'm with sneal. Doesn't have the automatic high beam like the wife's golf but they are adaptive matrix lights.

If you send me your VIN I can take a look into this for you. I'll compare PR codes against a few others with matrix

But matrix lights have a different DRL shape, there is no need to even look at the vin code.

This is what I have. So it is Matrix LED no doubt about it. Where’s the DLA then?! Something I need to adapt and code to have it?

It would make no sense that you need adaptations for something that should be available right away.

On my car you push the light stalk forward and this symbol comes up Skoda Superb 3 - Light Assist activation (automatic switching between low/high beams) - YouTube

which means that automatic high beam is on, when you start going a certain speed they start doing their thing.

I sure know how the high beam works. And at any speed up to 100km/h, I still don’t get the high beam with an A in it. Always been the good old blue high beam indicator.

that’s why I’m puzzled.

Yeah, so, why aren't you still at your dealer and demanding explanation?

It's in the Australian brochure.

Mates, if you have dynamic light assist, does your lights dance up down, left right on start up?

Matrix'es don't dont that. They just go down and up.

OP, are you reaaaally sure you have them? Take a picture of what you have.
