EA888 Tsi APR INTAKE FOR SALE

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

My 2012 vrs got hit by a bus last month and was written off, after 3 weeks of ownership…

I bought this APR airbox from awesome gti and it was genuinely only fitted for ONE day… it’s still essentially brand new…

I still have all of the fixings and clamps, it’s unmarked and fits directly to the standard MAF sensor… anyone who knows APR will know that it is a top quality product and not cheap!

I will post photos up in the morning as I’m currently on my way into work, but any offers over £100 not including postage will be the proud new owner…

message me on here or drop me a text on: 07739441203

thanks guys,

Drew

Adding photo of the receipt from awesome gti

Still for sale?

Still for sale please?

Well, I paid for it a week ago... And since confirming receipt of payment haven't heard from Drew at all...

🤞 It's on its way...

Fingers crossed for you Alex, am sure all will be well and it's on its way.

Let me know how the fitting goes as am tempted to fit one onto my 2.0tsi.

Hi Alex,

Have you received the intake pipe yet?

Nope 🙁 and no replies to my messages either...

That's not good.

Is there anything you can do via this site or your bank?

Track them via their personal details?

Or, they have a valid reason due to illness or family issues.

Crossing my fingers still.

Not sure... I know we're all busy, but just an acknowledgement, and saying I'll get it posted when I can would be appreciated...

Agreed.

It's not nice to not communicate with a buyer.

Nope 🙁

Thinking I'm gonna be down the price of an intake, with nothing to show for it 🙁

Surely this site had their details?

The person is down as a Freedom member.

Does that mean the site has his details? Still nothing 🙁

Not sure what Colin might be able to give you. Send him a message.

Hopefully @N888DRS can either provide tracking details or a reason for what appears to be a very slow delivery.

Depending upon the payment method, @alexjbassist may need to seek recourse elsewhere

Tracking number is a good idea.

Royal mail would have provided one on the receipt.

The supply chains are very slow in my industry at the moment.

We can’t give you his details. However we do have them.

We can share with legal / law as required.

If you paid via PayPal guest you can raise a dispute with them.  East to say in retrospect of course.

ultimately there is little we can do to prevent fraud if indeed this turns out to be. He may equally of gone on holiday for two weeks… or longer. I know unlikely. Now I’m aware we can try a few things.

Since you have the order number and details of the supplier would it perhaps be worth contacting them to see if the order number is indeed valid?

Also as that picture was willingly posted and has a tracking number on it the courier tracking website might provide you with some details.

Obviously it goes without saying neither can give you contact details for the buyer, but might be willing to give them to the police etc.

If you do find out details and never get the goods/a reply, I’d be tempted to speak to an insurance body to make sure it was a declared mod and that it was sold on. If it wasn’t that would potentially  introduce an element of fraud into the claim, which Insurance companies tend to take quite seriously these days.

Also there is a thread showing the posters new car which appear to include a reg plate of the old and new car if you were to look out for their posts.

Fingers crossed its gone quiet for another valid reason, as if someone was going to no ship you would expect them not to post identifiable information out there.

Hi All,

I'd kinda put this out of my mind as it isn't looking positive.

My last messages have at least been read now - just some acknowledgement that it's taken a long time to send (indeed, if it will ever get sent) would have been appreciated. He was quick enough to acknowledge payment received.

Ever hoping...

Understandable, possibly worth a poke as if the first post is genuine.

A light digging suggests it may be:

 https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/cc1143725

leads to here:

https://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace?trackNumber=CC1143725

and further details on the print proof of delivery button... ;)

Out of principle if it is not resolved, then I would inform the police. Even if they don't do anything further and only log it at least there is a record it's not a one off error should a theme develop down the line.

Obviously I make no judgement about what has gone on, but as you say things happen, communication is key.
