Car rocking/swaying

Featured Replies

Hi, 3 year old scala just serviced. When I close the doors or the boot the car rocks side to side. Is this normal or should I get it looked at?

Thanks

Welcome.

If it never did that before you dropped the car off to be serviced then you will need to have it checked by someone.

How many km has the car done?

Even if they increased the tyre pressures that should not have made a difference to the suspension.

Cheers mate. Has about 26k km on the clock.

How long was your car with them, and did it get a road test?

What was it getting done, just an Oil & Inspection service?

Was it getting an annual Test,

brake fluid changed or any other work done, & do you know how many km the car had on it when dropped off and then collected.

I've just rang the dealership who did the service and they're going to take another look at it for me.

They did the video of the undercarriage and didn't flag anything at the time.

Thanks for your help.

This is probably down to the fact the dampers on this car are woefully inadequate. It rocks like a boat. Never had a car so floaty.

The OP has had 3 years to notice that, or at least before the car went for a service.
