Unbiased views please!!

Right well i've got the golf till september, and now i've done my usual tidying things up on the car to get it looking right... i.e adding the alloys, swapping rear lights to GTI style ones etc. Before she goes i want to just add one more touch... Paint the brakes

So your views please (and remember this is a VW... so pleased don't be biased acording to vRS colours unless you think it will look right) on what colour to paint them.

Green, Red, Blue or Silver

Black would be best IMHO. They will look much better than the OEM plating and won't put any potential buyers off when the time comes.

I wouldn't bother, especially if your selling it.

Thats the sort of thing that puts off potential buyers, they wonder what else has been fiddled with!

Besides it's clearly not a sports car, so why try and make it look like one?

No point painting them black or silver, who would notice ? I'd go for red personally - although if you're selling is soon probably best not to bother.

not really.... I was going to paint them.... but (once again) due to the good thinking and views from many members I am now not going to. So really it wasn't that pointless.

Would of just being like having a "Don't paint' box on the poll.

Any bright colour would suggest you're being a bit of a ch@v. Silver or black would be consistent with just keeping corrosion at bay - your call :P

Silver or Red would look the best on a black car. I think if you want them really noticed, then go with Red (even though i voted Silver )

cause i'm moving back to skoda land for a Fabia.

We got golf to tie me buy during the time fabia was off road/written off/insurance went through.

Golf is old, smelly, 100k has taken its toll and i want the new car smell back i orriginally had!

I agree with the majority in not painting them. I considered painting my calipers green, but then I took a step back and thought "it's not a vRS, so don't try and make it look like one".
