CR150 engine mapping.

Featured Replies

So I had a look through the tuning section.m and quite frankly it's dead there so thought I'd ask in the next best place.

I have the CR150 engine and I'm now envious of the gains above the 200bhp mark from the 170/190 engines.

Are they really all that much different and I can get it mapped up there  Or am I just out of luck for buying the one I have.

Cheers

You’ll get up to 190 mate no problem.. it’s the torque up that you’ll notice more.. the 190 standard does have bigger turbo and injectors I think so I ended up with 235 bhp and 540bm from the 190. That’s gone now and I have the 272 with a map. That’s somewhat a different beast lol

Thanks.

I love a bit of diy tinkering but I'm not sure I'll be able to swing my other half around to letting me swap a turbo and injectors unfortunately.

I have my project car so I'll let that get the fun tuning.

I'll have a look at getting the 190 and being happy with it 😂

I'd have loved to be able to have justified one of the tsi engines. But I needed it to be practical and reliable and I'd have got way too carried away with one 😅

190 map will be a big step up from the 150 so I reckon you’d be happy enough with that.. for now lol… when I traded my mapped 190 for the 272 I thought I’d made a mistake as they are quite lazy up to 4k revs where as the diesel has everything up to that.. after the map tho the 272 has the same torque as my mapped diesel did. Diesel and petrol maps attached.

get the box done too as you can see on both graphs the wiggly line which is the box limiting the torque

That’s a solid increase in Torque. A little low on the HP however. Who’s map did you get please?

Clp tuning did the tune on my 272 but it is a tvs engineering map. Dsg and engine.. hp wise they said an extra 10-15 was possible but temps were getting a bit high. It a Gpf car also so I think that was a good result. Torque figure is more important for me. Have a look on the tvs engineering website and they do some nice work with superbs. Their stage 2+ dsg map for the dq381 is beautiful. And can’t complain about fuel economy either. This was on a 30 mile commute in mixed traffic  09B602A4-0231-4E96-A13B-8EBC021B2F6C.thumb.jpeg.1b4041271c953929678d1c75935249a4.jpeg

Racingline map for the previous diesel.
