Advice before Octavia Vrs Blackline purchase

Featured Replies

Morning,

Bit of background…… Drive a Fabia Vrs and wife owns a Zafira noticed a Skoda Octavia Blackline registered 2013 (must be very last of mk2) it sits on 145k with fsh and cambelt and water pump replacement. Nice spec cruise sat nav (obvious out of date but presume someway of updating? ) only thing puzzling me is car comes with bolero unit. (Hope I’ve got that right so has sat nav and phone option on unit, but car doesn’t have any function buttons on steering wheel and a parrot installed, which is puzzling me?

What are these cars like reliability wise, and mpg any common issues I should look for ? As I say mileage is quite high, but it’s history backs up, price is around £3,700 if that helps with the comments? Thanks in advance

The Bolero didn't have Nav and BT was an option. Not the Parrot one though.

Watch out for DMF rattle on idle if it has never been changed and budget £700 if it needs changing.  Make sure Aircon is ice cold as leaking condenser or fail compressor are quite common with age.

Thanks for reply yes will certainly check clutch and dmf set up, aircon system had a replacement not so long back. know these cars are capable of soaking up the mileage.
